About the trip

No. We can run the trip for any group size. The price per person increases for smaller groups — write to us with your numbers and we’ll send a quote.

Yes, but only for the guaranteed February 21–28 departure. For all other dates, a group booking is required.

A maximum of 12 guests per slot. We run one group at a time. There are no other cat-ski operations in the immediate area, so the terrain is effectively yours.

The standard trip is 7 nights. We don’t currently offer shorter or longer formats, but write to us if you have specific requirements and we’ll see what’s possible.

No. We run a limited number of slots between January and March. Availability is updated when you contact us.

About the terrain

Ungroomed freeride skiing and snowboarding in backcountry terrain. There are no prepared pistes, no groomed runs, and no lift infrastructure. Every run is off-piste.

Yes. Gjeravica peak at 2,600 m is reachable from the base with touring gear. Let us know in advance if ski touring is a priority — the guide can plan days accordingly.

The guide makes daily decisions based on snowpack safety and conditions. If a specific zone is unsuitable, we ski elsewhere. The 7 km² area gives enough variety to work with most conditions. In the event of a full weather shutdown, we assess on a case-by-case basis — see booking terms.

Up to 700 m from the ridgelines to the base. On a full cat day you can expect multiple laps — total vertical varies depending on pace and conditions.

About the guesthouse

Three bedrooms, four single beds each. Rooms are shared unless you pay the single room surcharge (€280). Couples or friends can request the same room.

Simple and generous. Local Albanian cooking — hearty meals suited to long days on the mountain. Dietary requirements can be accommodated with advance notice.

Yes. The guesthouse runs on a generator and is insulated for winter use. It is warm.

Yes — there is power from the generator. Bring a power bank as backup.

Available for purchase at the guesthouse. Not included in the trip price.

About getting there

Pristina (PRN), Tirana (TIA), or Skopje (SKP). All transfers from these airports are included. Pristina is typically the closest and most straightforward.

We’ll coordinate with you before the trip. Afternoon arrivals work best to allow time for the transfer to Peja and the safety briefing.

Entry requirements depend on your nationality. Albania and Kosovo are generally accessible for EU, UK, and US passport holders without a visa. Check current requirements for your country before booking.

Write to us. We can sometimes arrange transfers from other airports, but additional costs may apply.

About safety

No. Avalanche training and beeper search practice are included at the start of every trip. If you already have training, let us know — it’s useful context for the guide.

The guides carry full first aid and communication equipment. Helicopter evacuation is the protocol for serious injuries. The nearest hospital is in Peja, Kosovo. This is why we strongly recommend travel insurance that covers helicopter evacuation in backcountry terrain.

Yes. All guides hold recognised ski guide certifications and are trained in avalanche safety and rescue.

No. This is an expert-level backcountry operation in a genuinely remote location. It is not suitable for children or inexperienced skiers of any age.

About booking

As early as possible. Slots are limited to 12 guests and the season is short. The February guaranteed group departure fills fastest.

We take a deposit to confirm the booking. The balance is due before departure. The exact schedule is in the booking terms.

See the booking terms. We strongly recommend travel insurance that covers trip cancellation.

If a slot is full, write to us and we’ll add you to the list. Cancellations do happen.
